Armed Forces of the Philippines Chief of Staff General Andres C Centino led the donning of ranks ceremony to AFP generals and senior officers on March 9, 2022, at Tejeros Hall, Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City.
The following officers received their new ranks: Rear Admiral Rommel Anthony SD Reyes, The Deputy Chief of Staff, AFP to the rank of Vice Admiral; Major General William N Gonzales, The Inspector General, AFP to the rank of Lieutenant General; Marine Brigadier General Charlton Sean M Gaerlan, Commander, AFP Education, Training and Doctrine Command to the rank of Major General; and Colonel Glen Jun C Calambuhay, Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations and Colonel Marvin L Licudine, Chief, AFP Peace and Development Office, both to the rank of Brigadier General.
Gen. Centino congratulated the newly promoted officers as he reminded them of the responsibility that goes with their new ranks.
"Congratulations on your well-deserved promotions! May your promotion motivate you more to continue to perform your duty with excellence in support of the accomplishment of the AFP mission," Gen. Centino said.
