Elite Forces in Motion: AFP SOF Lead Airfield Operation During AJEX DAGIT-PA

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City -- The Armed Forces of the Philippines Special Operations Forces (SOFOR) successfully conducted an airfield seizure operation at Paredes Airfield on November 10, 2025 as part of the AFP Joint Exercise (AJEX) DAGIT-PA.

The mission featured the execution of Special Reconnaissance through Military Freefall, allowing elite operators to infiltrate the airfield and identify designated targets. During the activity phase, Philippine Army and Philippine Navy personnel participated employing Heli Sniping to deliver aerial fire support. This integration enhanced air-to-ground coordination and enabled sniper elements to neutralize time-sensitive threats during the seizure of the objective area.

Following the initial assault, operators conducted a Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) mission, demonstrating rapid-response capability in a recovery mission. The exercise concluded with a coordinated air and ground exfiltration, completing the full cycle of the airfield seizure scenario.

This exercise showcased the AFP’s expanding special operations capabilities, including reconnaissance, personnel recovery, and rapid extraction as key competencies in supporting joint force operations and strengthening the military’s ability to respond to high-risk scenarios across the nation.
