Philippine Marines Surge Into Action in Amphibious and Counter Landing Operations in AJEX DAGIT-PA

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City -- As part of the AFP Joint Exercise (AJEX) DAGIT-PA, the 4th Marine Brigade (4MBde) units, together with Marine Reservists from 71MRBn, successfully conducted Amphibious Operations and a Counter Landing Exercise at Bleacher 1, Camp Cape Bojeador, Burgos, Ilocos Norte, on November 14.

The exercise supported by 105mm and 155mm howitzers as well as light armor assets, aimed to sharpen interoperability, operational readiness, and command coordination among participating units, further reinforcing the Marines’ capability to execute amphibious and coastal defense missions in support of the AFP’s joint and combined operations.

Through simulated and constructive scenarios, the activity tested command decision-making, unit synchronization, and rapid response to coastal threats, ensuring that participating forces remain adaptive, resilient, and mission-ready in multi-domain environments.

The exercise highlights the AFP’s commitment to fortifying maritime security and advancing the tactical proficiency of its Marine forces.
