CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City -- The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) joined the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) in celebrating its 127th Founding Anniversary today, at Fort General Gregorio del Pilar, Baguio City.
Held under the theme “Forging the Leaders of Character while Transforming into a Globally Competitive Defense Learning Institution,” the celebration highlighted the Academy’s enduring commitment to producing principled and competent military leaders for the nation.
The event was graced by National Defense Secretary Gilberto C. Teodoro Jr., who served as the guest of honor and speaker, and was assisted by AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo S Brawner Jr and PMA Superintendent Vice Admiral Caesar Bernard N Valencia.
The celebration underscored the institution’s enduring legacy of producing leaders of character, which remains central to the nation’s pursuit of a strong, capable, and modern defense force committed to protecting the Filipino people and preserving national sovereignty.
