General Romeo S Brawner Jr, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) hosted Colonel Edward R Evans, the outgoing Chief of the Joint U.S. Military Assistance Group (JUSMAG) Philippines, in an exit call on May 9, here.
Colonel Evans was commended for his outstanding leadership and contributions to the continued partnership between the Philippines and the United States in strengthening defense and security cooperation. During the exit call, General Brawner expressed the AFP’s gratitude for Colonel Evans’ dedication and his efforts in advancing the mutual goals of both nations.
The call also included international observers of Exercise Balikatan 40-2025, underscoring the global interest in the ongoing efforts to enhance defense relations in the region. The event marked a moment of reflection on the shared commitment to peace, security, and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
