CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) concluded the AFP Leadership Summit on November 27, 2024, at Camp Aguinaldo with General Romeo S. Brawner Jr., Chief of Staff of the AFP, serving as the Guest of Honor and Speaker (GOHAS).
The summit, which brought together senior leaders, commanders, and key personnel from across the AFP, aimed to strengthen leadership competencies, promote organizational excellence, and align strategies. The event served as a platform for sharing insights, best practices, and innovative approaches to address the dynamic challenges faced by the military.
In his keynote address, General Brawner emphasized the critical role of strong leadership in achieving the AFP’s vision of becoming a world-class armed force. “Leadership is the foundation of our organization. It is through our leadership that we inspire our men and women to serve with integrity, professionalism, and excellence. This summit underscores our commitment to fostering a culture of accountability and unity in the AFP,” he said.
He also reiterated the need for the military to remain non-partisan and for its personnel to continue to focus on the accomplishment of their mission.
The AFP Leadership Summit is part of the organization’s broader initiative to professionalize and modernize its ranks while ensuring the readiness and welfare of its personnel.
