Philippine Army Commanding General Bids Farewell to AFP Leadership

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) welcomed Lieutenant General Roy M Galido, Commanding General of the Philippine Army, as he paid his exit call to AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo S Brawner Jr. held on July 30, here.

General Brawner commended Lt. General Galido for his outstanding leadership, steadfast dedication, and significant contributions to joint military operations and inter-service cooperation. Under his leadership, the Philippine Army advanced in operational readiness and sustained its role as a vital partner in achieving the AFP’s mission.

A distinguished member of the Philippine Military Academy “Bigkis Lahi” Class of 1990, Lt. General Galido assumed command as the 66th Commanding General of the Philippine Army. The event also recognized Lt. General Galido for his exceptional service and commitment to the values of integrity, excellence, and patriotism. 

The AFP extends its best wishes to Lt. General Galido as he embarks on new endeavors beyond the uniformed service. As he transitions to civilian life, the AFP honors his contributions and expresses its deepest gratitude for a career dedicated to the defense and development of our country.
