Philippine Navy's BRP Antonio Luna tests firepower during RIMPAC live-fire exercise

The Philippine Navy tested the BRP Antonio Luna's (FF151) anti-submarine and main battery capabilities in the Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) exercise held in Hawaii from July 12 to 16.

The Agusta Westland (AW) 109 helicopter embarked on the FF151 joined the Combined Anti-Submarine Warfare Exercise while the FF151 herself tested its main battery 76MM Super Rapid Gun, 30mm Smash Aselsan, and Caliber 50 Machine Gun in the live fire events of the exercise.

RIMPAC is the world's largest international maritime exercise which has become a premier training opportunity among allies in the Pacific critical to ensuring the safety of sea lanes and the security of the world's other oceans. (Photos by Philippine Navy)
