CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City -- The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff General Romeo S Brawner Jr. led key AFP staff officers in attending an inter-agency situation briefing on the coordinated response to Super Typhoon Uwan for President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. via video teleconference (VTC) on November 10, 2025.
The briefing, attended by National Defense Secretary Gilberto C. Teodoro Jr., representatives from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Health (DOH), Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Office of Civil Defense (OCD), the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), and the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), provided updates on troop and asset deployment, coordination with disaster management agencies, and public information initiatives to ensure timely assistance to affected communities.
General Brawner reaffirmed the AFP’s commitment to carrying out efficient and well-coordinated Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response (HADR) operations in line with the President’s guidance.
The AFP continues to closely monitor Typhoon Uwan and urges the public to follow official advisories, secure their homes, and take necessary precautions.
