CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City -- The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff, General Romeo S Brawner Jr, presided over a conference today to discuss ongoing preparations and response measures for Super Typhoon “Uwan.”
Representatives of key AFP staff units and offices involved in Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response (HADR) operations, provided updates on troop and asset deployment, coordination with disaster agencies, and public information efforts.
Earlier, the AFP announced the temporary suspension of ongoing and upcoming activities under AJEX DAGIT-PA to redirect resources and manpower toward HADR operations.
The Chief of Staff reaffirmed that the AFP’s foremost priority remains the protection of lives and properties, as the organization stands ready to assist communities that may be affected by Super Typhoon “Uwan.”///
