General Romeo S Brawner Jr., Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (CSAFP), highlighted the military's critical role in supporting the nation’s health and well-being during the blood donation event held on April 7 at STI West Negros University in Bacolod City.
The event, a collaborative effort with the Dugong Buhay Movement, was attended by Department of Budget and Management Secretary Amenah F Pangandaman, Philippine Red Cross Secretary General, Dr. Gwendolyn T Pang; and Philippine Coast Guard Commandant Admiral Ronnie Gil Gavan.
During his address, General Brawner highlighted the AFP’s participation which not only saves lives but also promotes unity, compassion, and a sense of shared responsibility among Filipinos. "This initiative is a testament to the values of service and patriotism that the AFP upholds. We must focus on positive actions that contribute to our nation's well-being," said General Brawner.
The event serves as a reminder that the AFP remains dedicated to its mission of safeguarding the nation, not only through defense and security but also through actions that support the well-being of every Filipino.
