Strategic Synergy: AFP, U.S. TRANSCOM Push Forward Bilateral Defense Agenda

CAMP AGUNALDO, Quezon City -- The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the United States reaffirmed their enduring defense partnership as AFP Vice Chief of Staff LtGen Jimmy D Larida received General Randall Reed of the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) in a courtesy visit today, June 5, here.
The meeting highlighted the robust bilateral military relationship between the two allies, with both leaders underscoring the importance of advancing logistics cooperation and regional security. They exchanged views on improving military transportation interoperability under the Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement (EDCA) and explored initiatives to boost maritime domain awareness and enhance cyber defense capabilities in response to evolving security challenges.

The visit further strengthened AFP-U.S. cooperation, marking another milestone in their ongoing partnership to achieve shared strategic goals and safeguard a free and open Indo-Pacific.
