Senior AFP officers take new posts

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—Senior military officers assumed their new posts on Monday, January 23, in a joint Change of Chief of Office Ceremony presided by The Deputy Chief of Staff AFP VAdm Rommel Anthony SD Reyes at the Tejeros Hall here.

MGen Alex S Rillera PA relinquished his post as the Deputy Chief of Staff (DCS) for Operations, J3, to his assistant, BGen Glenn Jun C Calambuhay PA, who will perform the role in an acting capacity. MGen Rillera will later assume as the new commander of the 6th Infantry Division.

AFP receives 'excellent' satisfaction rating in the latest SWS Survey

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City - The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) received a high public satisfaction rating for its performance, with an "excellent +76" net score, according to the recent December 2022 Social Weather Stations (SWS) Survey.

This raised the net satisfaction of the AFP by nine (9) points from the net of +67 in December 2021.

CSAFP dons rank to newly-promoted senior AFP officers

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—The Chief of Staff AFP (CSAFP) General Andres C Centino, presided over the donning of ranks to nine senior AFP officers on January 19 and 20 at the AFP General Headquarters in Camp Aguinaldo and at Headquarters Western Mindanao Command in Zamboanga City.
 
Promoted to the rank of Major General were BGen Edgar M Cardinoza PAF, commander of the AFP Health Service Command; BGen Jose Maria R Cuerpo II PA, the Deputy Chief of Staff for Personnel, J1; BGen Leonel M Nicolas PA, the Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence, J2; and BGen Marvin L Licudine PA, commander of the AFP Education, Training, and Doctrine Command.

MGen Galido assumes as new WESMINCOM commander

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—The AFP installed MGen Roy M Galido PA as the new commander of the Western Mindanao Command (WESMINCOM) in a change of command ceremony on Friday, January 20, presided by the CSAFP, General Andres C Centino PA, at the WESMINCOM headquarters in Zamboanga City.

AFP employs PAF assets for HADR

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – Armed Forces of the Philippines employs the Philippine Air Force’s C-295 aircrafts to transport 500 boxes of relief goods to Tandag, Surigao Del Sur and 100 wheelchairs to Roxas City, Capiz on January 17.

A C-295 medium-lift aircraft of the 220th Airlift Wing transported 500 boxes of relief goods from the Office of the Vice President to Tandag, Surigao Del Sur for those who were affected by severe flooding.
