AFP Vice Chief of Staff, LtGen Arthur M Cordura PAF welcomed LtGen George W Smith Jr during his courtesy visit on February 3 at the AFP General Headquarters in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City. LtGen Smith Jr, commanding general of the US I Marine Expeditionary Force, is in the country in preparation for Balikatan Exercise in April 2023.

Joining the WCM Commander were Commodore Marcos Y Imperio PN, the Commander of the Communication, Electronics, and Information Systems Service AFP (CEISSAFP); and, reservist BGen Eric C Garchitorena MC, Commander of the 1st Technical and Administrative Services (TAS) Brigade - NCR Reserve Command.
