VISCOM Change of Command and Retirement Ceremony

CHANGE OF COMMAND | AFP Chief of Staff LtGen Bartolome Vicente Bacarro presided over the Change of Command and Retirement Ceremony for LtGen Robert Dauz, the Commander of Visayas Command who bowed out of the military on Monday, November 14.

LtGen Dauz served in the Armed Forces of the Philippines for over 38 years of outstanding military career. A member of the Philippine Military Academy “Maringal” Class of 1988, he rose through the ranks from being a Platoon Leader and Company Commander in the 1st Light Armor Battalion. He was also designated in key staff and command positions including as Vice Commander of the Philippine Army and commander of the Armor Division.

ARRIVAL HONORS

Chief of Staff, Armed Forces of the Philippines (CSAFP) LtGen Bartolome Vicente Bacarro welcomes President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. upon the President's arrival on Monday, November 14 from his participation in the ASEAN Summit in Cambodia.

The CSAFP was joined by Philippine Air Force Commanding General LtGen Connor Anthony Canlas Sr, Philippine Navy Acting Flag Officer-In Command RAdm Caesar Bernard Valencia, and Philippine Army Vice Commander MGen Adonis Bajao. PNP Chief Gen Rodolfo Azurin and PCG Commandant Adm Artemio Abu were also in attendance.///

US VETERANS DAY

AFP Chief of Staff LtGen Bartolome Vicente Bacarro joined the commemoration of US Veterans Day at the Manila American Cemetery and Memorial in Fort Bonifacio. US Ambassador to the Philippines, Honorable MaryKay Carlson led the ceremony on 11 November 2022 honoring the service and sacrifice of US and Filipino veterans.

Philippine Air Force's Super Tucanos, Black Hawk Arrive in Palawan for AJEX DAGITPA 2022

Two A-29 Super Tucanos with tail numbers 1902 and 1905, and a Black Hawk with tail Number 106 arrived on November 9-10 in Antonio Bautista Air Base as Philippine Air Force's commitment to the ongoing AFP Joint Exercise DAGITPA 2022 in Western Command's Joint Operations Area.

"We welcome with pride our Philippine Air Force pilots, crew, and modern fleet of aircraft here in the Western Frontier," Vice Admiral Alberto B Carlos PN, the Commander WESCOM said.

BRP Bacolod (LS550), Philippine Army Participants of AJEX DAGITPA 2022 Arrive in Palawan

The Philippine Navy vessel BRP Bacolod City (LS550) arrived yesterday, 09 November 2022 at the the 2Lt Lagare Pier in Puerto Princesa City, together with the personnel and assets of 3rd Infantry Division and 15th Infantry Battalion of the Philippine Army who are participating in the AFP Joint Exercise DAGITPA 2022.

"Western Command cordially welcomes our gallant Army comrades to the Western Frontier all the way from Roxas City, Capiz," said Vice Admiral Alberto B Carlos PN, the Commander of Western Command.
