AFP welcomes new Secretary Joint Staff

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City - The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) welcomed its new Secretary Joint Staff in a ceremony held on Friday, September 16.

Colonel Wilfredo B Manalang III PA(GSC) assumed his new position replacing Colonel Von Albert M Sumergido PA(GSC) during a Change of Chief of Office conducted at the Silid Lapu-Lapu, AFP General Headquarters Building.

PBBM to 6ID: "Keep up the good work"

CAMP SIONGCO, Awang, DOS, Maguindanao— "Keep up the good work." These are the words that are embedded in the speech of President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Ferdinand ‘Bong-Bong’ R. Marcos Jr., during his visit to Camp Siongco, Awang, DOS, Maguindanao on September 15, 2022.

Major General Roy M. Galido, Commander of Joint Task Force Central and 6ID, welcomed the President, along with Chief of Staff, Armed Forces of the Philippines Lieutenant General Bartolome Vicente O Bacarro and Commander of Western Mindanao Command, Lt. Gen. Alfredo V. Rosario Jr., at the home of the Kampilan Troopers, where the country's highest official was also accorded with military honors upon his arrival at the 6ID Headquarters.

AFP to build 3-storey military hospital in Quezon Province

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—The Armed Forces of the Philippines is set to improve health and medical services to its personnel with the construction of a three-storey hospital building.

AFP Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Bartolome Vicente O Bacarro led the groundbreaking ceremony for the new building of Camp General Nakar Station Hospital on Wednesday, September 14, at the Headquarters of the Southern Luzon Command in Lucena, Quezon.

Acting Vice Chief of Staff, AFP (VCSAFP) Vice Admiral Rommel Anthony SD Reyes had the opportunity to engage the President and Commander-in-Chief Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. during the latter's visit to the shooting competition (BBM Cup 2022) held at MCS Firing Range in Barangay Suba, Paoay, Ilocos Norte on 08-11 Sep 2022.

AFP Chief of Staff leads Christening Ceremony for two Fast Attack Interdiction Crafts

Lt. Gen. Bartolome Vicente O Bacarro, the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (CSAFP), led the Christening Ceremony for the two Fast Attack Interdiction Crafts (FAIC) on September 6 at Roxas Boulevard, Manila.

These two missile-capable gunboats of the Philippine Navy, aptly named BRP Nestor Acero (PG901) and BRP Lolinato To-ong (PG902) in honor of two AFP Medal for Valor awardees, are part of the FAIC acquisition project under the Revised AFP Modernization Program-Horizon 2. A total of eight units were ordered worth Php10 billion.
