AFP-PNP-PCG opens first face-to-face Olympics since pandemic

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), and Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) opened the face-to-face annual inter-service sporting event on Friday, September 30 after it was postponed due to the COVID19 pandemic.

Athletes from the AFP, PNP, and PCG gathered at the 2022 AFP-PNP-PCG Olympics opening ceremony held at the Lapu-Lapu Grandstand in Camp Aguinaldo.

Building Partnership Against Terrorism

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City - AFP Acting Vice Chief of Staff (VCSAFP) Vice Admiral Rommel Anthony SD Reyes met with His Excellency Roger Noble, Australian Ambassador for Counter Terrorism (CT), during the latter’s courtesy call on 28 September 2022 at the General Headquarters in Quezon City.

In their meeting, Ambassador Noble noted that the Philippines has some of the best practices in countering local terrorism which his government can learn from. VAdm Reyes commented that the support of the government and the people helped the Armed Forces effectively address this concern. The enactment of laws served as basis in dealing with local communist insurgency and terrorism.

AFP continues HADR ops in Karding-hit areas

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response (HADR) operations by various units of the Armed Forces of the Philippines continue in areas hit by Super Typhoon Karding.

Earlier today, September 27, relief operations were conducted by the 202nd Infantry Brigade to affected families in an evacuation center in Real, Quezon. 1st Infantry Battalion together with the Philippine Coast Guard and other Volunteers loaded more than 1000 boxes of relief goods from DSWD and 900 bottles of drinking water and 100 boxes of sardines from GMA Kapuso Foundation at the Polillo Port in Polillo, Quezon for distribution to affected residents.

AFP deployed HADR teams to Karding affected areas

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – The Armed Forces of the Philippines deployed Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response (HADR) teams to areas affected by Super Typhoon (TS) Karding in North, Central, and Southern Luzon as early as September 25 to help affected residents.

In Northern Luzon, AFP’s Northern Luzon Command utilized its 203rd, Ready Reserve Battalion to support the pre-emptive evacuation conducted by the MDRRMO in four barangays of Aritao, Nueva Viscaya. The Marine Battalion Landing Team 10 also rescued four families near the riverbanks in Brgy. Esteves, Casiguran, Aurora on September 25.

AFP hosts 51st Pacific Area Senior Officers Logistics Seminar

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City - The Armed Forces of the Philippines hosts the 51st iteration of the Pacific Area Senior Officers Logistics Seminar (PASOLS) starting today and will end on September 29.

Established in 1971, PASOLS originally started with nine member nations and has since expanded to 31 member nations.
