AFP dedicates Air Force flights for personnel R&R

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – The Armed Forces of the Philippines has dedicated transport flights to its personnel who avail of rest and recreation (R&R) after several months of deployment in far-flung areas.

A total of 41 troops who are deployed in the province of Sulu under the Philippine Army's 11th Infantry Division were transported through the Philippine Air Force C295 plane and brought to Isabela on March 15 to enjoy their much-deserved vacation with their families and loved ones. R&R is a privilege given to soldiers after long months of deployment and combat duty.

The R&R Flight is one of the AFP leadership initiatives to boost further the troops' morale in appreciation of their sacrifices and contribution to peace and security campaign. The AFP recognizes the importance of providing the necessary support to our ground troops, who often had to bear long periods of separation from their loved ones to be able to perform their sworn duty to the country.
