CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City -- The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) takes immense pride in honoring three of its distinguished members who have been conferred the title of 2025 Metrobank Foundation Outstanding Filipino Soldiers on September 5, at the Grand Hyatt Manila in Taguig City.
Honored this year are UO1 Anro Anthony M Turallo PN, Team Leader of Explosives Ordnance Disposal Mobile Team 12 and Chief Enlisted Personnel for Operations of the Naval Explosive Ordnance Disposal Group, Navy Special Warfare Force, recognized for his expertise as a defender against violent extremism; Col Ricky L Canatoy PA (MNSA), Assistant Chief of Staff for Civil-Military Operations, G7 of the 4th Infantry Division, cited for his role as a vanguard of peace and development in Mindanao; and Col Joey T Fontiveros PA (GSC), Commander of the AFP Cyber Command, lauded for strengthening the nation’s defense posture in the digital domain as the AFP’s cyber ranger.
Through their leadership and commitment, these outstanding officers spearheaded humanitarian operations, advanced security initiatives, utilized digital platforms to strengthen public awareness, and fostered vital partnerships with stakeholders.
Their distinction in the Metrobank Foundation Outstanding Filipinos program reflects the strength of the military institution, with men and women in uniform who not only defend sovereignty but also embody compassion, integrity, and nation-building.///
