AFP Honors Nation’s Heroes at VFP’s 65th Anniversary

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City -- The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) joined in commemorating the 65th Founding Anniversary of the Veterans Federation of the Philippines (VFP) in a solemn and dignified ceremony held today here.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of Department of National Defense (DND), Undersecretary Ireneo C Espino who served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker. He was joined by AFP Vice Chief of Staff, LtGen Jimmy D Larida, and other key military and veteran leaders in paying tribute to the enduring legacy of Filipino war veterans.

Founded in 1960, the Veterans Federation of the Philippines unites Filipino veterans under a common mission to preserve their legacy and advocate for their rights and welfare. The organization continues to play a vital role in nation-building through civic initiatives, historical preservation, and policy engagement.

The AFP, together with the VFP, reaffirms its shared dedication to honoring the past while continuing to serve the Filipino people with valor and integrity.
