AFP Honors Soldier-Athletes for Sports Achievements

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) honored the exceptional achievements of soldier-athletes in a recognition ceremony held today, here. The event was presided over by the AFP Vice Chief of Staff LtGen Arthur M Cordura representing the AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo S Brawner Jr.
The ceremony celebrated the dedication of the soldier-athletes from the Philippine Arnis Team and the Paris 2024 Olympics, recognizing their perseverance in representing the nation on the international stage. Additionally, the AFP Cavaliers Team, led by The AFP Deputy Chief of Staff LtGen Charlton Sean M Gaerlan, received the Meritorious Achievement Medal. In a generous gesture, they donated their winnings of 500,000 pesos to the Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo Station Hospital (CGEASH), underscoring their support to community and welfare.

The AFP remains committed to supporting its soldier-athletes as they continue to strive both on and off the field, inspiring future generations to pursue excellence in all their endeavors.
