CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) successfully hosted the 25th Multi-Sector Governance Council (MSGC) meeting at the AFP General Headquarters on August 22 here that is part of ongoing efforts to further strengthen governance, transparency, and accountability within the AFP.
AFP Chief of Staff, General Romeo Brawner Jr. led the AFP in the meeting that was attended by key stakeholders from various sectors. The MSGC serves as the AFP's advisory body that provides guidance and oversight in the implementation of the AFP's Transformation Roadmap.
During the meeting, the participants reviewed the progress of ongoing initiatives and discussed strategies to further enhance the AFP’s governance and organizational performance. General Brawner emphasized the importance of sustained collaboration with the MSGC in achieving the AFP's vision of becoming a world-class armed forces that is a source of national pride.
The 25th MSGC meeting also highlighted the council's role in fostering transparency and ensuring that the AFP remains responsive to the needs and expectations of the Filipino people. The AFP continues to work closely with its partners in the MSGC to promote good governance and uphold the highest standards of integrity and professionalism in all its endeavors.
