CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City -- The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) formally welcomed the Christmas season with the annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony held on December 1, symbolizing unity, gratitude, and the enduring spirit of hope among the men and women in uniform.
The ceremony opened with a solemn Mass presided over by Lt. Colonel Manuel W Tabios, Command Chaplain of the AFP General Headquarters & Headquarters Service Command (GHQ & HSC). In his homily, he highlighted the season as a reminder of faith, sacrifice, and the light that each member of the AFP brings to the nation.

Following the Mass, the AFP’s Christmas tree was illuminated, serving as a beacon of hope for soldiers, civilian personnel, and their families. The symbolic lighting underscored the AFP’s commitment to peace and security as the country enters the holiday season.
