CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City -- Forty newly promoted Generals and Flag Officers, along with two (2) graduates of Foreign Pre-Commissioned Training Institutions, took their oath of office before the Commander-in-Chief, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on December 18 at the Malacañang Palace, marking a significant milestone in the leadership of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
In his address, President Marcos emphasized the weight of military leadership, stating, "This oath-taking is a reaffirmation of a sacred trust: respect for the Constitution, service to the Filipino people, and loyalty to the Republic. As you open this new chapter, you accept greater responsibility to lead with wisdom, restraint, and moral clarity."
"May you always wear the stars on your shoulders as daily reminders of your duty to lead with integrity, serve with humility, and, if necessary, defend the Republic with honor and courage,” the Commander-in-Chief added.
Following the ceremony, the officers paid a courtesy call on AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo S. Brawner Jr., at the General Headquarters in Camp Aguinaldo, marking a significant milestone in their military careers and reaffirming their dedication to national service.
