CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), through the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Financial Management, J10, and the AFP Education, Training and Doctrine Command (AFPETDC), officially opened the AFP Financial Management Course (AFP FMC) Class 34-2024 on September 10, 2024.
This specialized 400-hour course is designed to institutionalize the effective and efficient management of AFP funds, aligning closely with the AFP’s Strategic Objective Nr 2 (SO Nr 2) as outlined in the AFP Scorecard. The program aims to sustain and further enhance institutionalized financial management practices, equipping AFP personnel with the skills necessary to adequately safeguard AFP funds.
AFP FMC Class 34-2024 comprises 48 AFP military student officers, three Civilian Human Resource representatives, two officers from the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, two officers from the Philippine Coast Guard, and one officer from the Bureau of Fire Protection. The course is scheduled to run from September 10 until November 2024.
This program not only serves AFP personnel but also extends its reach to various government agencies, promoting interagency collaboration and capacity building in financial management. Participants will undergo rigorous training focused on safeguarding funds and upholding financial accountability within their respective organizations.
