The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) formally welcomed BGen Ramon P Flores as the new Deputy Chief of Staff for Personnel, J1, in a Change of Chief of Office Ceremony held on May 6, here. The ceremony was presided over by AFP Vice Chief of Staff, LtGen Jimmy D Larida.
Before assuming his new post, BGen Flores served as Commandant of Cadets at the Philippine Military Academy (PMA). He also served as the Assistant Chief of Staff for Personnel, G1 of the Philippine Army. BGen Flores, member of the PMA “Bantay-Laya” Class of 1994, also holds a Master in Public Management, majoring in Development and Security from the Development Academy of the Philippines.

BGen Flores succeeds LtGen Rommel P Roldan, a member of the PMA “Tanglaw-Diwa” Class of 1992, who assumed the position of AFP Deputy Chief of Staff on March 4, 2025.
