CSAFP honors SOLCOM Commander, introduces AFP’s new battle cry

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City –The Chief of Staff, Armed Forces of the Philippines (CSAFP), General Romeo S Brawner Jr., led the Flag Raising Ceremony and welcomed the Commander of the Southern Luzon Command, AFP, LtGen Efren Baluyot PA, during an Exit Call conducted on February 05 at the General Headquarters.
LtGen Baluyot, who will be retiring in March, is a member of the Philippine Military Academy “Makatao” Class of 1989. He also served as the Commander of the Armor Division and the Commander of the 1st Mechanized Infantry Brigade, Philippine Army.

“Nagbibigay tayo ng pagpupugay kay LtGen Efren Baluyot dahil sa kaniyang dedikasyon at professionalism na pinakita throughout his more than 30 years of service to the Armed Forces of the Philippines and to the Philippine nation. Congratulations for an excellent and outstanding service to the AFP and our country,” said Gen. Brawner as he expressed his gratitude to LtGen Baluyot for his service as a member of the Armed Forces.

During the activity, the CSAFP also encouraged the troops to maintain the same level of professionalism and loyalty as he introduced the AFP’s new battle cry, “One AFP, One Philippines. Strong AFP, Strong Philippines.”

“Let us remain loyal to the Constitution and to the duly constituted authorities. Isa lang ang ating Armed Forces of the Philippines, and we only have one nation. If we have a very strong AFP, we will have a strong country. This is why we will pursue our modernization and we will develop our capabilities. Pero mas importante ang paghanda natin ng ating mga sundalo. Let us prepare ourselves, make ourselves more competent in our jobs,” Gen. Brawner urged.///
