CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City -- The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Major Service Officer Candidates officially concluded their pre-commissioning training as the AFP held the Joint Graduation Ceremony for the Officer Candidate Course (OCC) today at Villamor Air Base, Pasay City. President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. served as the guest of honor and keynote speaker, and, together with National Defense Secretary Gilberto C. Teodoro Jr. and AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo S Brawner Jr., conferred awards on the top graduates.
The OCC is a comprehensive, one-year training program designed to equip officer candidates with the knowledge, skills, and resilience needed to serve in the AFP Regular Force. This year’s graduating class comprises 638 cadets: 326 from the Philippine Army Bumannawag Class 63-2025, 164 from the Philippine Air Force Kahimdaliyan Class 2025, and 148 from the Philippine Navy Sagmaraya Class 44-2025.
In his address, President Marcos emphasized that the newly graduated officers’ commitment must always be to the Constitution and to the Filipino people. He added, “Piliin niyo lagi ang tama. Piliin ninyo ang bayan. Piliin ninyo ang katapatan at ang kapayapaan.”
The graduation ceremony serves as a testament to the strength of the AFP’s training programs and the future of military leadership. The new officers will proceed to their respective assignments, fulfilling their roles in safeguarding the nation and advancing the AFP’s mission of peace, security, and national development.
