The Chief of Staff, AFP (CSAFP) General Andres C Centino PA, visited the troops of the 702nd Brigade, 7th Infantry Division, Philippine Army at Camp Lt. Tito B Abat, Brgy Calaoacan, Manaoag, Pangasinan on May 19. In his talk to the troops, the CSAFP commended them for reducing the internal security threats in the area, which is a manifestation of the accomplishment of the AFP’s campaign to end the insurgency.
The CSAFP also inspected the facilities of the Wallace Air Station in San Fernando, La Union, under the 580th Aircraft Control and Warning Wing of the Philippine Air Force. The CSAFP emphasized to the troops the importance of resources for defense preparedness. Likewise, he reminded them to maintain discipline and professionalism in performing their duties.
