AFP, French Armed Forces aim to strengthen military relations

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – Envisioning a stronger partnership between two nations, The Inspector General (TIG), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), LtGen William N Gonzales PA welcomed the Joint Commander in the Asia-Pacific Zone of the French Armed Forces in French Polynesia, RAdm Geoffroy D' Andigné during his visit to the General Headquarters today, June 29. 

With France and the Philippines’ shared military cooperation, logistics operations, training, and education, both military leaders expressed that they look forward to further cooperation between the two nations’ Armed Forces.

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City — Geared towards being a game-changer in the AFP's capabilities, the Armed Forces of the Philippines Cyber Group (AFPCyG) celebrated its 5th Founding Anniversary today, June 26 at the AFP Headquarters. 

The Vice Chief of Staff, AFP (VCSAFP), LtGen Arthur M Cordura PAF served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker during the anniversary celebration and said, “Cyber is the heart of our C4ISTAR [Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, Targeting Acquisition and Reconnaissance]. It is a game changer. The application of cyber fundamentally changes the nature of war thereby inevitably shifting the paradigm on how we operate in a continuum of peace, conflict, crisis, and war."

The Commander in Chief, President Ferdinand R Marcos Jr. was welcomed by the Special Forces Regiment Commander, BGen Ferdinand B Napuli PA during the 61st Founding Anniversary of SFR(A) on June 25, 2023 at Fort Magsaysay, Nueva Ecija.

Phil Army's ‘Men of Courage and Determination’ celebrate 61st Founding Anniversary

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City — The Philippine Army’s Special Forces Regiment (Airborne), known for their "courage and determination", commemorated today in Fort Magsaysay, Nueva Ecija its 61st Founding Anniversary with the theme: "SFRA: Competent, Resilient, and Effective SOF through the Years." 

The Chief of Staff, Armed Forces of the Philippines (CSAFP) General Andres C Centino PA joined the celebration with President Ferdinand R Marcos Jr. and the Defense Secretary, Gilbert C Teodoro Jr. in Palayan City.

Funeral Honors for Retired General Biazon

The Armed Forces of the Philippines renders military honors to retired General Rodolfo Biazon, former AFP Chief of Staff and Senator of the Republic of the Philippines during his interment on Tuesday, June 20, at the Libingan ng mga Bayani in Taguig City in recognition of his legacy and sacrifices as a soldier, head of the military, and statesman. The service, led by the AFP Chief of Staff General Andres Centino, is the military’s way of giving its final tribute and honors in perpetuation of the memory to a dearly departed brave fellow servicemember. Arrival Honors for Newly Promoted Generals and Flag Officers

The Armed Forces of the Philippines renders military honors to the 40 newly promoted generals and flag officers at the AFP General Headquarters on June 20. Said officers were sworn to their respective duties by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr on June 19 in the Malacañan Palace, a rite signifying the supremacy of civilian authority over the military as enshrined in the Constitution.

The ceremony was witnessed by the Executive Secretary, Secretary Lucas Bersamin; National Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro; the Special Assistant to the President, Secretary Anton Lagdameo; the Presidential Communications Office Secretary Cheloy Garafil; Presidential Adviser on Military and Police Affairs Secretary Roman Felix; AFP Chief of Staff General Andres Centino; and Major Service commanders.
