PBBM SENDOFF TO BRUNEI AND SINGAPORE

LOOK | General Romeo Brawner Jr, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, along with top military and government officials, join the sendoff for President Ferdinand Marcos Jr and First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos in their state visit to Brunei and working visit to Singapore on May 28 to 31, 2024. Among his agenda is the Shangri-La Dialogue where he will deliver the keynote address.

“I think it is extremely timely that I attend and put forward and articulate the Philippines’ perspectives and outlook on defense and diplomacy while we continue to highlight the Philippines’ commitment to a rules-based international order and constructive multilateralism amidst the current geopolitical challenges that we face in our region,” President Marcos said.

AFP joins US Memorial Day rites

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City--The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) joined the United States Embassy and other dignitaries in a solemn ceremony to commemorate Memorial Day at the Manila American Cemetery and Memorial on May 26. The event honored the valor and sacrifice of the American and Filipino soldiers who fought together during World War II.

AFP Reservist Run Marks AFPRESCOM's 31st Anniversary

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—Runners of all ages and abilities gathered in the Armed Forces of the Philippines Reservist Run held May 25 here that marked the 31st founding anniversary of the AFP Reserve Command (AFPRESCOM).
Themed "AFPRESCOM @31: Overcoming challenges, building resilience, and sustaining excellence," the event featured three race categories—10 km, 5 km, and 3 km.

AFPRESCOM is dedicated to developing and maintaining a capable and responsive reserve force, committed to supporting the regular armed forces in times of need and engaging in various community service initiatives.

Founded 31 years ago, AFPRESCOM continues to play a crucial role in national defense and community development through its robust training programs and outreach efforts.

As the organization looks forward to another year of service, the funds raised will be instrumental in enhancing the capabilities of reservists and expanding outreach programs, further solidifying the link between the armed forces and the communities they protect.

AFP reps join Public Affairs Course at US’ Defense Information School

Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City – Representatives from the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) completed the five-week Public Affairs Course for International Students (PACIS) last May 17 at Fort Meade, Maryland, USA.
Major Gil Gamay of the Philippine Army and Mr. Redentor Reyes of the Public Affairs Office AFP, who was recognized as a Distinguished Honor Graduate, joined seven other students from South Korea, Zambia, Slovenia, Italy, Jordan, and Brazil in the program.
