Filipino, American para-jumpers hold successful Military Free Fall exercise in Palawan

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – A successful Military Free Fall (MFF) Jump Exercise was conducted in Long Beach, San Vicente, Palawan on April 30, 2024, as part of the 39th annual Balikatan Exercise between the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the United States Indo-Pacific Command (US-INDOPACOM).
Para-jumpers from the Philippine Marine Corps Reconnaissance, Special Operations Wing of the Philippine Air Force, Special Forces Regiment Airborne, and their U.S. counterparts took part in the exercise. Members from the Australian Defence Force also joined as observers. The MFF Jump was a key component of the Balikatan Exercise, emphasizing the importance of interoperability and joint training.

TDCSAFP honors AFPRESCOM for three decades of dedicated service

AFP Inspector General welcomes UNCMAC Senior Member

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – LtGen Steve Crespillo, Inspector General of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, welcomed MGen Kang In Kyu, Senior Member of the United Nations Command Military Armistice Commission (UNCMAC), on a courtesy visit marking a significant moment of diplomatic engagement and cooperation on April 30, 2024, here.
 
The courtesy visit provided an exchange of views on a range of topics, including regional security challenges, humanitarian assistance, disaster relief operations, and potential areas for enhanced cooperation.

Amphibious Landing Exercise

BRP DAVAO DEL SUR (LD602), serving as the Officer Conducting Serial (OCS) and Commander Amphibious Force (CAF), showcased its operational prowess during the ongoing Exercise Balikatan through successful Well Deck Operations and Amphibious Landing Exercises conducted at the vicinity of Campong Ulay Point, Rizal, Palawan.

AFP, US Indo-Pacific Command, and French Navy Conclude Historic Multilateral Maritime Exercise

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City -- The first iteration of the Multilateral Maritime Exercise (MME) between the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), the United States Indo-Pacific Command (US-INDOPACOM), and the French Navy concluded on April 29, 2024 in Palawan, marking a historic milestone in regional cooperation and security.
 
Held as part of the ongoing Exercise Balikatan 39-24, the week-long event from April 25 to 29, 2024, witnessed active participation from Philippine Navy's offshore patrol vessel BRP Ramon Alcaraz (PS-16) and landing dock BRP Davao Del Sur (LD-602), the US Navy's landing ship dock USS Harpers Ferry (LSD-49), and the French Navy's FS Vendemiaire (FFH-734), a Floreal-class frigate.
