AFP, USINDOPACOM holds 3rd Maritime Cooperative Activity, affirm commitment to free and open Indo-Pacific

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the United States Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) successfully conducted the third PH-US Maritime Cooperative Activity (MCA) in the West Philippine Sea on Friday, February 9, reaffirming the countries’ commitment to bolstering regional security and stability.

The Philippine Navy’s BRP Gregorio Del Pilar (PS-15) and AW109 Helicopter (NH434) together with the U.S. Navy’s USS Gabrielle Giffords (LCS 10), embarked with an MH-60S Sea Hawk, sailed together and participated in advanced planning and maritime communication operations within the Philippines’ Exclusive Economic Zone.

TDCSAFP meets with the AFP Women’s Volleyball Team

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – The Deputy Chief of Staff, Armed Forces of the Philippines (TDCSAFP), LtGen Charlton Sean Gaerlan PN(M), welcomed the members of the AFP Women’s Volleyball Team during a Courtesy Call on February 07 at the General Headquarters.

During their meeting, the TDCSAFP thanked the team for their contributions to the AFP and recognized their efforts and achievements as soldier-athletes.

One of the team's recent accomplishments includes being hailed as champion during the UNTV Women’s Volleyball League where they donated PhP500,000.00 to the AFP Educational Benefit System Office to support the education of soldiers’ orphans.

The AFP remains committed to extending support to the AFP Women’s Volleyball Team and its soldier-athletes as they thrive and continue to represent the organization in their athletic pursuits.///

CSAFP visits troops in northernmost military outpost

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—General Romeo Brawner Jr, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, checked on the morale and welfare of the troops stationed at Mavulis Island in Batanes on February 6.

He joined Secretary of National Defense Gilbert Teodoro Jr along with senior military and defense officials in assessing territorial defense capabilities and fortifications in the area.
