AFP hosts anniversary Fun-run

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City - The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) hosted the first uniformed service fun-run since the COVID-19 pandemic as part of its pre-87th AFP Anniversary activities at Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City on Friday, December 9.

Over 500 runners composed of uniformed and non-uniformed personnel from the General Headquarters, Army, Navy, Air Force, Philippine National Police, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, and Bureau of Fire Protection participated in the activity in either five or ten kilometers categories.

Youths paid tribute to soldiers in AFP anniversary concert

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City - Various bands from different youth organizations nationwide offered a tribute to members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines in a concert held at the Lapu-Lapu Grandstand, in Camp Aguinaldo on December 9, as part of the military’s 87th-anniversary activities.

The activity dubbed Talented, Responsible, Innovative and Brave (TRIB) - Youth to the Peacemakers is a concert and cultural presentation of various youth groups and AFP bands that aims to honor the sacrifices of the soldiers in performing their duties in protecting the people and securing the state.

REGIONAL SECURITY COOPERATION

AFP Chief of Staff LtGen Bartolome Vicente Bacarro welcomes H.E. Mr. HOANG HUY CHUNG, Vietnamese Ambassador to the Philippines during the latter's courtesy call at the General Headquarters on Wednesday, December 7.

Ambassador Hoang and CSAFP discussed security and stability and the need for an enhanced dialogue and cooperation to effectively address challenges in the region.

AFP reaffirms protection, promotion of Human Rights

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City— In celebration of this year's National Human Rights Consciousness Week, members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) pledged to continue the protection and promotion of Human Rights during the flag-raising ceremony held on Monday, December 5, at the AFP General Headquarters.

The Vice Chief of Staff, AFP Major General Arthur Cordura who represented the AFP Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Bartolome Vicente Bacarro, presided over the ceremony, which was attended by Officers, Enlisted Personnel, and Civilian Human Resources of the AFP.

AFP commits support on putting an end to HIV/AIDS

Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City – The AFP affirms its commitment to support in putting an end to HIV/AIDS as it joins the World AIDS Day 2022 held at the Tejeros Hall, AFPCOC, Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City on December 2, 2022, with the theme: “Unifying the Armed Forces Towards Ending HIV/AIDS Amidst the Challenges and Pandemics”.
 
World AIDS day is observed every December 1 to bring awareness and encourage HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, and care.
