AFP holds First Football Festival since the pandemic

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City - The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) held its first face-to-face Football Festival since the start of the pandemic on Saturday, May 14.

The AFP Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Reservist and Retiree Affairs (OJ9) headed by Major General Camilo Ligayo, spearheaded the sporting event conducted at Fort Bonifacio Naval Station Parade Ground in Taguig City.

5 NPAs surrender to AFP in Agusan del Sur

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – After experiencing hardship with the Communist Terrorist New People’s Army (NPA), five members voluntarily surrendered to the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) in Agusan del Sur on Monday, May 9.

Members of the Army’s 3rd Special Forces Battalion facilitated the surrender of Alias Bebe, Alias Rowel, Alias Jenny, Alias Rey, and Alias Joy (true name withheld for their protection)

AFP receives Php6 Million scholarship grant from PVAO

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) received P6,000,000.00 in monetary donations from the Philippine Veterans Affairs Office (PVAO) for the educational benefits of military personnel and their dependents.

A ceremonial signing of the memorandum of agreement and turnover of check donation was held at PVAO in Camp Aguinaldo on Wednesday, May 4.

AFP receives Hawker Aircraft from San Miguel Corporation

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) received a Beechcraft Hawker Aircraft donated by the San Miguel Corporation (SMC) on Thursday, May 5.

A formal acceptance, turnover, and blessing ceremony was presided over by Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana at the Villamor Air Base in Pasay City. He was joined by SMC Chief Executive Officer, Ramon Ang.

NPA surrender in Bukidnon, firearms seized in Davao de Oro

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – A member of a dismantled guerrilla unit of the communist terrorist New People’s Army (NPA) surrendered to the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) in Bukidnon.

A certain Sander Langayed using the alias ‘Anggot’ yielded to the 89th Infantry Battalion at Sitio Inayaman, Brgy San Jose, San Fernando, Bukidnon. He also turned in an M1 Garand rifle, M203 grenade launcher and anti-personnel mine.
