CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – The Armed Forces of the Philippines deployed Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response (HADR) teams to areas affected by Super Typhoon (TS) Karding in North, Central, and Southern Luzon as early as September 25 to help affected residents.

In Northern Luzon, AFP’s Northern Luzon Command utilized its 203rd, Ready Reserve Battalion to support the pre-emptive evacuation conducted by the MDRRMO in four barangays of Aritao, Nueva Viscaya. The Marine Battalion Landing Team 10 also rescued four families near the riverbanks in Brgy. Esteves, Casiguran, Aurora on September 25.

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City - The Armed Forces of the Philippines hosts the 51st iteration of the Pacific Area Senior Officers Logistics Seminar (PASOLS) starting today and will end on September 29.

Established in 1971, PASOLS originally started with nine member nations and has since expanded to 31 member nations.

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) received weightlifting equipment from Olympic Gold Medalist and Philippine Air Force Staff Sergeant Hidilyn Diaz-Naranjo on Friday, September 23.

The donation was in partnership with the Samahang Weightlifting ng Pilipinas (SWP) headed by its president, Mr Monico Puentevella. It aims to promote weightlifting events among AFP personnel and their dependents with an end view of developing more future world-class soldier-athletes.

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—The Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Metrobank Foundation Inc., (MBFI) recognized six soldiers who were recipients of the 2021 and 2022 Metrobank Foundation Outstanding Filipino Award for Soldiers (MFOFAS) on Thursday, September 22, at the AFP General Headquarters in Quezon City.

The Acting Vice Chief of Staff AFP VAdm Anthony SD Reyes who represented the AFP Chief of Staff, and MBFI President and Chief Executive Officer Mr Aniceto M Sobrepeña led the honors for the select outstanding military officers and enlisted personnel.
