AFP Excels in NATO Exercise Defense Cyber Marvel 3 with Impressive Rankings

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) secured high rankings in virtual challenges during the Exercise Defense Cyber Marvel 3 (DCM3) held on February 10 to 16 at Marco Polo Hotel in Pasig City. 

The AFP Cyber teams ranked 3rd, 4th, and 5th places out of 127 participating teams from other countries in the Capture The Flag (CTF) Challenge, and clinched the 3rd place in the Artificial Intelligence Challenge during DCM3 led by the United Kingdom (UK) Army.

U.S. aircraft deliver more relief packs to Mindanao

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – The United States Marine Corps, in collaboration with the Armed Forces of the Philippines and other government agencies, delivered more Family Food Packs to the landslide-affected areas in Davao de Oro.  

As of February 15, a total of 15,400 Family Food Packs from the Department of Social Welfare and Development were transported using two (2) USMC KC-130J Hercules aircraft, which ensured the prompt delivery of aid to communities in need.

AFP commits troops, assets for HADR in Mindanao

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City — The Armed Forces of the Philippines, deployed its search and rescue personnel and assets for the ongoing humanitarian assistance and disaster response (HADR) operations in Davao and Caraga regions to assist residents affected by recent heavy rains and flooding that persist since late January and the Masara landslide on February 6.

The Philippine Air Force--particularly the 505th Search and Rescue Group, 205th Tactical Helicopter Wing, and the 220th Airlift Wing--with six helicopters, one C-130, and one C-295 aircraft in use have transported a total of 88,444 lbs of relief goods, equipment, and personnel as of February 13. 

U.S. air assets to assist AFP in aiding Mindanao landslide victims

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City —  In a collaborative effort between the United States Armed Forces and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), two (2) U.S. Marine Corps KC-130J Hercules aircraft will be providing assistance in delivering supplies to the affected communities of the Masara Landslide in Mindanao. 

Currently, the two USMC KC-130 aircraft are stationed at Villamor Air Base while the processing, weighing and loading  of supplies for transport on February 12 are ongoing, with the plan for four (4) deliveries daily (two per plane) to maintain a steady supply to the affected areas. 

Two US aircraft deliver aid to Davao City

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City--Two C-130 aircraft of the United States Marine Corps delivered to Davao City 4,800 boxes of family food packs of the Department of Social Welfare and Development on February 12.
