The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the United States Armed Forces conducted an Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) training on April 27, 2025, at the Naval Education, Training and Doctrine Command (NETDC) in Zambales, as part of Exercise Balikatan 40-2025.
Off the coast of Zambales, the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), United States Armed Forces, and Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force conducted a Photo Exercise (PHOTOEX) and Replenishment at Sea (RAS) drills during the Multilateral Maritime Event as part of Exercise Balikatan 40-2025.
As part of the ongoing Philippines-United States Exercise Balikatan 40-2025, the United States Marine Corps successfully inserted the Navy-Marine Expeditionary Ship Interdiction System (NMESIS) testing the ability to position the system for the Maritime Key Terrain Security Operations (MKTSO) - North events on 26 April 2025.
