CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City -- The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) welcomed delegates from the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) Command and Staff College and the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force during a Study Tour Visit held today at the AFP Education Training Command (AFPETC).
The AFP confirms that the incident in Tipo-Tipo, Basilan stems from a local rido-related conflict, which is now under control through the joint efforts of the CCCH and the Provincial Government of Basilan to facilitate dialogue and de-escalation.
The AFP urges everyone to remain calm, support the peace process, and continue working together for lasting peace and stability in Basilan and across Mindanao.
