3 terrorist NPAs yield in Masbate

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – Three communist terrorist NPAs (CNTs) yielded to the Philippine Army’s 2nd Infantry Battalion (2IB) of the 9th Infantry Division in Masbate on April 21, 2022.

According to Lt. Col. Siegfried Felipe F Awichen, Commanding Officer of 2IB, after a series of negotiation, his troops was able to convince Alias Pinoy, Alias Darwin, and Alias Nikoy to lay down their arms and heed the government’s call for peace by availing the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) of the government.

2 terrorist NPAs killed in Quezon encounter

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City - Two communist terrorist NPAs (CNTs) were killed in an encounter with government troops in Quezon province on April 18.

While conducting security operations at Sito Angelo, Barangay Umiray, General Nakar on Monday afternoon, troops from the Philippine Army's 24th Division Reconnaissance Company under the 2nd Infantry Division chanced upon the more or less seven CNTs, resulting in a firefight.

JUSMAG Chief exit call to CSAFP

AFP seizes NPA firearms in Oriental Mindoro

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) seized two high-powered firearms and other war materiel after an encounter with the communist terrorist New People's Army (NPA) in Oriental Mindoro on Sunday, April 17.

Operating troops from Philippine Army's 76th Infantry Battalion (76IB) acted on a report from concerned civilians that armed men were threatening the residents at their farms when they encountered more or less eight CNTs at Sitio Pitong Gatang, Brgy. Manguyang in Gloria, Oriental Mindoro. The firefight lasted for about ten minutes, after which the enemy scampered in different directions.

AFP intensifies relief operations in Leyte

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) has intensified its humanitarian assistance and disaster response (HADR) operations in Leyte following the devastation caused by Typhoon Agaton.

The Visayas Command on Saturday announced that efforts will be sustained to provide needed assistance to alleviate the distress of people experiencing hardship brought about by the recent calamity.
