CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—The AFP installed BGen Fernando M Reyeg as its new Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations, J3, in a Change of Chief of Office Ceremony presided by The Deputy Chief of Staff, VAdm Rommel Anthony SD Reyes today at the AFP General Headquarters.

A member of the PMA Sambisig Class of 1991, BGen Reyeg comes in from his stint as the Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff for Education, Training, and Doctrine, AJ8. Prior to this, he served in various command and staff positions, including as the commander of the erstwhile 104th Infantry Brigade (now 101st Infantry Brigade) and at the same time Joint Task Force Basilan; commander of the 3rd Scout Ranger Battalion; Chief of Readiness and Organization Division and Plans, Policy, and Programs Division of OJ3; and Chief of Staff of 6th Infantry Division and Chief the of Unified Command Staff of Western Mindanao Command.

Primordial in every action taken by the Armed Forces of the Philippines is its constitutional duty to protect the people and the state. It shall always be true and committed to its mission of safeguarding our country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
