AFP gets construction equipment from GMA Kapuso Foundation

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City - The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) received new construction equipment for restoring damaged military camps and patrol bases on Monday, April 25.

The GMA Kapuso Foundation (GMAKF) donation will benefit the units severely affected by Typhoon Odette in December 2021.

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – Fourteen years since he vowed to hunt down a notorious communist terrorist leader, former Battalion Commander and now the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) met his long-time foe in Davao de Oro on Saturday, April 23.

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City - The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff General Andres C Centino inspected the military’s Mabila Detachment and Littoral Monitoring Station in Balut Island, Saranggani on April 23, 2022.

AFP Chief commends troops in Davao de Oro for the steady decline of Insurgents

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City - The Chief of Staff Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) General Andres C Centino commended the troops of the 48th Infantry ‘Guardians’ Battalion for its significant strides against the Communist Terrorist Groups (CTGs).

“I am pleased to note that we are successfully clearing your area from the insurgents. I express my commendation to you for being able to contribute to the mission of the AFP to ensure that we have secured communities all over the country,” he said.

AFP seizes thousands of NPA ammunition, firearms in Sorsogon

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) seized thousands of ammunition and firearms owned by the communist terrorist group (CTG) in Sorsogon on April 21.

Lt. Col. Nelson Mico, Commanding Officer of 22nd Infantry Battalion (22IB) under the 903rd Brigade of the 9th Infantry Division, Philippine Army, reported that his troops discovered the CTG’s armed cache at the hinterland areas of Barangay Capi, Bulan through the report of concerned civilians.
