AFP Educational Benefit System Office holds Golf-for-a-Cause for more than 2,000 military orphans

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – The Armed Forces of the Philippines through its Educational Benefit System Office (AFPEBSO) conducted a golf-for-a-cause tournament dedicated to the dependents of Killed-in-Action (KIA) military personnel on March 01, 2023, at the Camp Aguinaldo Golf Club, Quezon City.

The activity, dubbed “F.O.R.E.: Fund for the Orphans’ Registration and Education,” aims to support the education of the grantees who are dependents of soldiers who sacrificed their lives protecting the peace in the country.

Philippine Inter-Agency Contingent returns from Turkiye mission

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—The AFP joined other government agency officials in welcoming the Philippine Inter-Agency Humanitarian Contingent (PIAHC) to Turkiye on February 28 at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

The PIAHC was deployed in Turkiye on February 8 to conduct humanitarian assistance and disaster response operations following the magnitude 7.8 earthquake that hit the country.

The CSAFP, General Andres C Centino PA, visits the troops stationed in Sultan Kudarat, Marawi City, and Cagayan De Oro City today in a campaign to boost the morale and check on the welfare of military personnel on the frontlines.

In his talk with the troops, he reminded the officers of the importance of seeing firsthand the condition on the ground and being visible to the men and women tasked with maintaining peace and security in far-flung communities.

AFP reiterates support for international peacekeeping

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—The AFP reiterated its support to international peacekeeping as it welcomed LtGen Andrew Harrison, the deputy commander of the UN Command in Korea (UNC-ROK), at the AFP General Headquarters today.

LtGen William N Gonzales PA, The Inspector General, AFP, welcomed LtGen Harrison and relayed the CSAFP's message of the AFP's steadfast commitment to the UNC-ROK in its mission of keeping the peace in the Korean peninsula.

Aus Defense Minister, CSAFP visit Army Troops in 6ID

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – The Chief of Staff, AFP, General Andres Centino PA joined Hon. Richard Marles, the Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) and Minister for Defence (MinDef) of Australia on an official visit to the Headquarters, 6th Infantry Division (6ID) of the Philippine Army at Camp Siongco, Awang, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao today.

The Commander of the Western Mindanao Command (WESMINCOM), LtGen Roy Galido PA, along with the 6ID Commander, MGen Alex Rillera PA welcomed Hon. Marles and the CSAFP at the 6ID grounds.
