CSAFP meets with Australian Chief of Defense

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—AFP Chief of Staff General Andres C Centino met with Australia's Chief of Defense Force General Angus Campbell in a telephone call on March 13.

The phone call meeting marked solid military coordination between the Philippines and Australia as partners in keeping the peace and stability in the South Pacific region.

AFP recognizes stakeholders’ support in peace and development

The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) recognized its partner stakeholders for their outstanding contributions to the military’s peace and development efforts on Monday, March 14.

AFP Chief of Staff General Andres C Centino led the awarding ceremony at the AFP Commissioned Officers Club in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City, during the 71st Founding Anniversary of the Civil Relations Service AFP (CRSAFP).

AFP joins mustering of SRR units, national earthquake drill

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City--The AFP's search, rescue, and retrieval (SRR) units joined the mustering of the national government's SRR capability on March 9 at the Lapu-Lapu Grandstand.

The mustering was held as part of the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) to assess the cluster's capacity and readiness to respond to disasters, including the anticipated destructive earthquake called “The Big One.”

GADvocates of positive change: AFP launches activities for 2023 Women’s Month

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – The Armed Forces of the Philippines kicked off today the 2023 National Women’s Month celebration, at the same time the International Women’s Day, with the Chairperson of the AFP Gender and Development Focal Point System Executive Committee and Vice Chief of Staff, AFP, LtGen Arthur M Cordura PAF as the Guest of Honor and Speaker at the AFP General Headquarters.

With the 2023-2028 recurring theme: “WE for gender equality and inclusive society,” the commencement of the series of activities for the celebration was welcomed by The Chief, Dental Service, AFP, BGen Angelica DL Torres DC.

PH-US soldiers build schools in Northern Luzon

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – Filipino and American soldiers started the construction of school buildings in different areas in Northern Luzon on March 7 as part of this year’s Republic of the Philippines-United States (RP-US) Exercise Balikatan 37-2022.

The building of schools is part of the Engineering Civic Action Program (ENCAP) being conducted before the official opening of the RP-US Balikatan Exercise on March 28. The activity is undertaken by engineering units and personnel from both the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and U.S. Armed Forces (USAF) to improve the infrastructure of local communities.
