AFP, GMA Kapuso Foundation renew agreement on cooperation

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—The Armed Forces of the Philippines and the GMA Kapuso Foundation, Inc. (GMAKF) renewed for another three years a memorandum of agreement (MOA) institutionalizing their partnership in uplifting the lives of underprivileged Filipinos in geographically isolated and depressed areas (GIDAs).

The agreement, which was first inked in 2016 and again in 2019, was signed by AFP Chief of Staff General Andres C Centino PA and GMAKF Chairman of the Board of Trustees Atty. Felipe L Gozon through GMAKF Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Ms Luz Annalee Escudero-Catibog today, June 8, at the AFP General Headquarters.

The Australian Ambassador to the Philippines, His Excellency Steven J Robinson AO and his delegation visited the General Headquarters, Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) in Camp Aguinaldo on Wednesday, June 8. His delegation was warmly welcomed by the AFP Chief of Staff General Andres C Centino PA.

The Australian government continuous to be an active partner of the Philippines not only on defense and security but also in our effort in addressing the global pandemic.

PH-US conduct Marine Aviation Support Activity 2022

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City--The Armed Forces of the Philippines through the Philippine Marine Corps and the United States Marine Corps Forces Pacific opened the Marine Aviation Support Activity 2022 (MASA 22) yesterday, June 6, at the PMC headquarters in Taguig City.

Activities commenced yesterday, June 6 in the province of Palawan and will end on June 17 that includes combined joint forward arming and refuelling demonstration, and a lecture on unmanned air systems operations.

AFP designates new Deputy Chief of Staff for CMO

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—The Armed Forces of the Philippines installed Brigadier General Gabriel C Viray III PA as the new Deputy Chief of Staff for Civil Military Operations, J7 on Thursday, 02 June 2022. Brig. Gen. Viray III replaced Maj. Gen. Nolasco A Mempin who assumed as the Commander of the 10th Infantry Division in February.

"Taking the helm of OJ7 is one of a lifetime experience. It provides me an opportunity to lead a highly motivated team, and an opportunity to serve our organization – the AFP, our stakeholders, the community that we engage in, and our country in general," Brig. Gen. Viray said.

General Centino meets with India’s National Defense College chief, students

CAMP GENERAL EMILIO AGUINALDO, Quezon City—The Armed Forces of the Philippines Chief of Staff General Andres C Centino PA met with Major General Manoj Kumar, other senior staff, and students of India’s National Defense College on Monday, 06 June 2022, at the General Headquarters here.

The meeting is part of a study tour aimed at providing the delegates, which included students from Sri Lanka, Uganda, Australia, Iran, and Uzbekistan; with an overview of the country’s socio-economic development, foreign policy, and security issues.
