CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—The Armed Forces of the Philippines dons three- star ranks to the newly promoted military officers at the ceremony presided over by the CSAFP, General Andres C Centino PA, on Thursday, January 12, here.

Promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General were MGen Arthur M Cordura PAF, the Vice Chief of Staff AFP, and MGen Efren P Baluyot PA, the Commander of the Southern Luzon Command.

The AFP welcomed its new Deputy Chief of Staff for Education, Training, and Doctrine, J8, in a Change of Chief of Office Ceremony presided over by The Deputy Chief of Staff VAdm Rommel Anthony Reyes on Thursday, January 12, in Camp Aguinaldo. BGen Fernando Reyeg, the Assistant J8, assumed the post in an acting capacity, replacing RAdm Donn Anthony Miraflor who was designated as the commander of the Naval Forces Western Mindanao.

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) held the traditional New Year’s Call with AFP Chief of Staff General Andres Centino at the AFP Commissioned Officers Country on Wednesday, January 11.

The AFP New Year’s Call was held jointly with the Department of National Defense. Military commanders from the Army, Air Force and Navy as well as chiefs of offices, senior staff officers, and senior enlisted personnel, together with their spouses attended the event. Also present were defense attachés and officials from the General Headquarters civilian human resources department.

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City--The AFP Chief of Staff, General Andres C Centino met with the Ambassador of Turkey, Niyazi Eyren Akyol during the latter's courtesy call on January 10 at the General Headquarters.

In their meeting, the CSAFP expressed his gratitude for the significant contribution of the Government of Turkey to the AFP modernization with the acquisition of the Philippine Air Force Attack Helicopter (AHAP T129) and Philippine Army M113 APC Fire Power Upgrade.
