CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City - The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) held a wreath-laying ceremony to honor the soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty on Friday, December 16, at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at the Libingan ng Mga Bayani in Taguig City and at major AFP camps nationwide.

LtGen Bartolome Vicente Bacarro, AFP Chief of Staff, led the ceremony in Libingan ng Mga Bayani as part of the activities in line with the 87th AFP Anniversary on December 21.

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City - Fifty-four senior officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) received confirmation on their ad-interim appointments from the Commission on Appointments (CA) on Wednesday, December 14, at the Senate Hall, in Pasay City.

PMA Superintendent, LtGen Rowen Tolentino, led the contingent of AFP officers. Rep. Jurdin Jesus Romualdo, the chairperson of the Committee on National Defense, recommended the confirmation which was then approved by the committee without objections.

The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) will hold an anniversary program to celebrate its 87th anniversary on December 19 at Lapu-Lapu Grandstand, Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City. With the theme, "AFP @87: Kaisa ng Buong Sabayanan Tungo sa Mapayapa, Matatag at Maunlad na Pilipinas," the AFP aims to showcase our transformation and advancement as a military organization through the display of these assets.
