AFP Chief of Staff honors fallen heroes at 5ID

Camp Aguinaldo, QUEZON CITY – AFP Chief of Staff, LtGen Bartolome Vicente Bacarro honors our fallen heroes through a wreath-laying ceremony rendered during his visit to Headquarters 5th Infantry Division (5ID), Camp Melchor F Dela Cruz, Upi, Gamu, Isabela on Dec 12.

LtGen Bacarro paid tribute to the fallen heroes of 5ID who sacrificed to protect the people of Northern Luzon from the atrocities of the communist terrorist group.

CSAFP meets with the Norwegian Ambassador

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City - The Chief of Staff, AFP (CSAFP) LtGen Bartolome Vicente Bacarro, met with the Norwegian Ambassador to the Philippines, His Excellency Christian Halaas Lyster, during his introductory call on December 12 at General Headquarters here.

In their meeting, Ambassador Lyster and the CSAFP discussed both countries' adherence to human rights and IHL in addressing external and internal security issues.

AFP, UNODC sign Declaration of Cooperation on common interests

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City— The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) signed a Declaration of Cooperation on December 12 at the General Headquarters here, setting a start of a partnership between the two institutions.

AFP Chief of Staff, LtGen Bartolome Vicente Bacarro signed the declaration for the AFP, with Mr. Oliver Georges-Lermet, Senior Policy Advisor and Head of UNODC in the Philippines.

Chief of Staff, AFP leads demilitarization of firearms in Maguindanao

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – The Chief of Staff, AFP, LtGen Bartolome Vicente Bacarro (CSAFP) spearheaded the demilitarization of the 307 captured, confiscated, surrendered, and recovered (CCSR) firearms and equipment at Headquarters 6ID in Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao on December 9.

The activity is one of the highlights during the CSAFP's visit to 6ID headquarters in time for the celebration of the yuletide season. It aims to boost the morale of the troops, especially those who will still be on duty during the yuletide break.

Army's Multi-capable Force celebrates 4th anniversary

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City - The Philippine Army's First Brigade Combat Team (1BCT) celebrated its fourth founding anniversary on Friday, December 9, at its headquarters in Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao Del Norte with the AFP Chief of Staff, LtGen Bartolome Vicente Bacarro as the guest of honor and speaker.

The 1BCT is the Army’s contingency force that is capable of addressing conventional, unconventional, and asymmetric threats. Activated in 2018, its first deployment was in Sulu to ensure peace and security in the region.
