AFP renders final tribute to former president FVR as 30-day mourning ends+

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—The Armed Forces of the Philippines rendered its final tribute as it ended its 30-day mourning for the former president Fidel V Ramos on Monday, August 29, which started since the official reading of notice of death on July 31.

AFP Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Bartolome Vicente O. Bacarro led the ceremony at the AFP General Headquarters, which was simultaneously held at the headquarters of the Major Services, Unified Commands, and the Philippine Military Academy.

AFP joins National Heroes Day Commemoration

AFP Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Bartolome Vicente O Bacarro joins the President and Commander-in-Chief Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and the entire nation in commemorating the National Heroes Day at the Libingan ng Mga Bayani in Taguig City, today August 29.

UNIT VISIT

The Chief of Staff, AFP (CSAFP), Lt. Gen. Bartolome Vicente O Bacarro, visited the sailors and marines at the Philippine Navy Headquarters in Roxas Boulevard on Thursday, August 25.

In his talk to troops, the CSAFP reiterated the Commander-in-Chief's emphasis on safeguarding the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

AFP Chief of Staff joins Stormtroopers Day in Samar

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City - The Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Lieutenant General Bartolome Vicente Bacarro joined the 8th Infantry Division’s valiant Storm Troopers in celebrating their 34th founding anniversary in Catbalogan, Samar on Saturday, August 20.
 
The anniversary marked the Division’s more than three decades of successful internal security operations to dismantle and destroy the remaining guerrilla fronts of the communist terrorist groups in the area.
The occasion was highlighted by the wreath-laying ceremony at 8ID Headquarters to honor the brave Stormtroopers who paid the ultimate sacrifice in the performance of their duty.

MGen Sequitin bows out of military service, Col Aguilar takes command of CRSAFP

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City - The Commander of the Civil Relations Service, Armed Forces of the Philippines, Maj. Gen. Manuel V Sequitin bowed out of service in a Change of Command and Retirement Ceremony at AFP General Headquarters in Camp Aguinaldo on Thursday, August 18, after over 37 years of outstanding military service.
 
He was replaced in an acting capacity by Col Medel M Aguilar in the ceremony presided by the Chief of Staff AFP Lt. Gen. Bartolome Vicente O Bacarro.
