The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) rendered departure honors to Secretary Delfin Lorenzana, the outgoing Secretary of the Department of National Defense (DND) on Friday, July 1.

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—The Armed Forces of the Philippines held a Testimonial Parade and Review on Tuesday, 28 June 2022, in honor of outgoing Secretary of National Defense (SND) Delfin Negrillo Lorenzana.

AFP Chief of Staff General Andres C Centino led the honors as the military recognized the SND’s full support of the AFP’s campaigns and programs.

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City - The Department of National Defense (DND) has approved the activation of the Vice Presidential Security and Protection Group (VPSPG), a dedicated unit that will ensure the safety and security of the Vice President of the Philippines and her family.

In a ceremony held at the AFP General Headquarters on Friday, June 24, AFP Chief of Staff General Andres C Centino led the activation of the VPSPG, which was formerly the Vice Presidential Security Detachment. The Chief of Staff likewise installed Lt. Col. Rene J Giroy PA as the first Group Commander of VPSPG.

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) gave recognition to soldier-athletes and their coaches who won medals during the 31st South East Asian (SEA) games, and to AFP personnel who passed the latest bar exam in a ceremony at the AFP General Headquarters on Tuesday, June 21.

AFP Chief of Staff General Andres C Centino PA led the awarding of 74 military officers, enlisted personnel, and civilian human resources.
