No Soldier's Orphan Left Behind: 5,000 graduates, 3,000 grantees assisted by AFPEBS as of 2022

With the new school year kicking off, the AFP Educational Benefit System (AFPEBS) reported an estimated total of 5,000 graduates from S.Y. 2000-2021 and more than 3,000 continuing grantees for 2022, who are mostly dependents of killed-in-action military personnel.

Several AFPEBSO grantees nationwide completed their education and are now pursuing careers in different fields. Some grantees also opted to join military service to follow in the footsteps of their loved ones who gave their lives protecting the peace and stability of the country.

AFP Statement on the Declaration of the Davao Region as Insurgency-free

The Armed Forces of the Philippines lauds the troops of Eastern Mindanao Command and the 10th Infantry Division for a job well done that resulted in the declaration of the whole Davao region as insurgency-free.

The joint resolution signed by the Regional Peace and Order Council composed of Local Chief Executives from various Local Government Units (LGUs) of Region 11 signifies the success of the Whole of Nation approach in ending the insurgency in the area.

AFP Chief of Staff commends Diamond Troopers

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – The Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) visited the valiant troops of the Joint Task Force Diamond dubbed as the ‘Diamond Troopers’ in Cagayan De Oro City, Wednesday.

Lieutenant General Bartolome Vicente Bacarro commended the men and women of the Joint Task Force Diamond for their exemplary achievements in protecting the peace and catalyzing development in their areas of operation.

AFP holds first-ever simultaneous Multilateral Naval Exercises

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) opened the first-ever simultaneous conduct of Maritime Training Activity SAMA-SAMA (MTA SAMA-SAMA) and LUMBAS on Tuesday, October 11.

The Chief of Staff of the AFP, Lieutenant General Bartolome Vicente Bacarro presided over the opening ceremony at the Naval Forces Central (NAVFORCEN) in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu.

On Preparations for TD MAYMAY

The Armed Forces of the Philippines through the Northern Luzon Command (NOLCOM) led by Lt. Gen. Ernesto Torres Jr has already alerted all units in Northern Luzon for possible deployment in areas expected to be affected by Tropical Depression Maymay. These include the disaster response units of all battalions and brigades under NOLCOM's joint operational area that will be affected by the storm. Air and naval assets under operational control of NOLCOM are also on standby and may be used for aerial assessment, transport, and evacuation operations.
