CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) joined the Filipino nation in celebrating the 124th proclamation of the Philippine Independence this Sunday, June 12.

The AFP has teamed up with the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) in the conduct of simultaneous activities within and outside Metro Manila.

Ang buong Sandatahang Lakas ng Pilipinas ay nakikiisa sa sambayanang Pilipino sa paggunita ng ika-isang daan at dalawampu't apat na Araw ng Kalayaan. Mula sa ating mga bayani na nagpamalas ng katapangan at malasakit, ang inyong mga Hukbong Sandatahan na kumakatawan sa mga makabagong bayani ay sumasaludo sa ilang salinlahing Pilipino na nangalaga sa kasarinlan ng Pilipinas.

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City - Elements of the Philippine Army’s 4th Infantry Battalion engaged with the CNT members while conducting focused military operations in Sitio Hagupit, Brgy. Lisap in Bongabong, Oriental Mindoro on Wednesday, June 8.

Following the encounter, troops were able to capture an M14 rifle with magazine and ammunitions, cellular phone, assorted medicines, contraceptive pills, and subversive documents from the enemies.

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—The Armed Forces of the Philippines and the GMA Kapuso Foundation, Inc. (GMAKF) renewed for another three years a memorandum of agreement (MOA) institutionalizing their partnership in uplifting the lives of underprivileged Filipinos in geographically isolated and depressed areas (GIDAs).

The agreement, which was first inked in 2016 and again in 2019, was signed by AFP Chief of Staff General Andres C Centino PA and GMAKF Chairman of the Board of Trustees Atty. Felipe L Gozon through GMAKF Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Ms Luz Annalee Escudero-Catibog today, June 8, at the AFP General Headquarters.
