Ambassador Kumaran and AFP Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Bartolome Vicente O Bacarro discussed fostering long-term bilateral military cooperation between the two countries, particularly on education and training. CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—The Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (CSAFP), Lt. Gen. Bartolome Vicente Bacarro, expressed his gratitude to the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) for its invaluable contribution to the military’s modernization during a Forum on Monday, September 19, at the New Clark City.

The Chief of Staff said that the BCDA has contributed Php25.01-billion to the AFP Modernization Program from 2017 to 2022 alone.

Colonel Wilfredo B Manalang III PA(GSC) assumed his new position replacing Colonel Von Albert M Sumergido PA(GSC) during a Change of Chief of Office conducted at the Silid Lapu-Lapu, AFP General Headquarters Building.
